The Team Coaching Process
A common starting point is a series of confidential interviews to capture from team members a picture of how the group operates, e.g.:
What is effective, productive and healthy?
What is ineffective, disruptive and destructive?
What do you believe needs to change?
What specific issues do you believe this team needs to resolve?
A process is then tailored to work with the team as it works.  During these business meetings, each team member will begin to understand better how his/her participation affects the team's ability to work well together.  You will each acquire the skills to improve your own participation as well as that of other team members.  As the team deliberates on actual work issues, you will learn to address more directly the fundamental questions, insure a full and honest discussion, and resolve conflicts without leftovers.  This will free you to be clearer and more creative in team decision-making, problem-solving, and action.
As with individual coaching, leadership skills and concepts and materials will be introduced as they fit the situation.
This team work is most effective when it is supported by individual coaching time with group members.
